Monthly Courses, with varied start dates throughout the year!

Piano lessons cover everything from basic music theory to piano pedagogy – the study of those music skills that aid individual piano students. The goal of each session is to impact competence in musical performance, knowledge of musical genres, music history and theory, piano repertoire, performance competence. Each lesson will be adapted to the ability level of the student, learning styles, education level, et al.

Common topics throughout the training will include:

  • Ear training
  • Rhythm
  • Notation
  • Technique
  • Improvisation
  • Sight reading
  • Memorization
  • . . .and, the expanse of repertoire.

Appropriate method books will be purchased by the Instructor, and compensated by each student. Classes will be designed to provide a foundational understanding for anyone who wishes to develop advanced skills in playing the piano for private or public performance.

Both peer-to-instructor and group classes are available, though limited by the number of available keyboards at a given time and day. Homework will be required in this course.

Tuition & Fees

All payment, cancellation, and makeup ascribe to the guidance found under the Lessons.

Virtual Lessons & Fees

Virtual Lessons via Skype are also offered, should the class or individual request such a platform. Virtual Lessons may be substituted for a regularly scheduled in-person lesson with 24 hour prior notice.

Lesson fees will remain the same as noted, regardless of platform.

Music & Special Events

Theory books, music texts, and special event fees are not covered by your tuition, as these fees are in addition to you regular tuition payment. Note, these fees are typically minimal.

Cancellations & Makeup Lessons

You may cancel one (1) lesson each month for any reason. In lieu of this lesson, you may schedule one (1) make-up lesson, which will be offered on the last Friday of each month between the hours 3:00-7:00p. Make-up session are scheduled on a 'first come, first served' basis, and you or your student is responsible for scheduling the make-up lesson.

Make-up lessons must take place in the month a prior scheduled lesson was missed. No refunds will be offered for missed lessons.

Discounts, Credits & Refunds

Discounts are provided when two or more siblings take lessons.

Refunds or credits for lessons missed will only be provided for unexpected teacher absence.
